Rick Mitchell, a founding member of the firm, has forty years of experience working in various sectors of the legal profession. He has worked in the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, Civil Litigation Division and was later Senior Counsel for the Mississippi Employment Security Commission. In 1992, Mr. Mitchell was appointed as Assistant District Attorney for the 20th Circuit Court District and in 1999, was appointed District Attorney by then Governor Kirk Fordice and served five years as District Attorney for Rankin and Madison counties. He concentrates his practice in mass tort, general litigation, and criminal defense.

Stacey L. Strain

Stacey Strain is a founding member of the firm whose practice is concentrated in products, toxic torts, environmental, premises, banking, and general litigation. She has specialized in asbestos litigation for over 20 years, representing distributors, insurers, manufacturers, and retailers. Ms. Strain has defended cases through all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts. She is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.

Rocky Eaton began his association with the firm in 2023 after serving as an associate with the former Aultman, Tyner & Ruffin law firm and later as a partner in the Tyner, Eaton & Fulce law firm. He concentrates his practice in toxic tort, products liability, and general liability matters. His practice has focused largely on multi-party litigation. Mr. Eaton is also the municipal attorney for the City of Petal, Mississippi, which includes advising municipal officials on a variety of matters and defense of the city in general liability matters.

Stacey O’Brien

Stacy O’Brien became associated with the firm in 2023. She concentrates her practice in toxic tort, products liability, and general liability matters. Prior to joining the firm, she litigated commercial and bankruptcy matters, representing debtors, creditors, and trustees in consumer and business bankruptcy proceedings and in associated adversary proceedings. Ms. O’Brien has defended cases through all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, and has a strong background in drafting, responding to, and arguing discovery and dispositive motions. She also has experience in estate planning work, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

A native of New Orleans, Stacey earned her Juris Doctor in 2007 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Loyola, where she was on the Dean’s List, a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and Phi Alpha Theta honor society, and President of the Loyola University Student Historical Association.
